Vehicle Flips Twice, Strikes Utility Pole In Bryans Road; One Transported To Trauma Center

BRYANS ROAD, Md. — A vehicle overturned after reportedly striking a utility pole in Bryans Road on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, sending one person to the hospital and prompting a utility response for sparking power lines.

The crash was reported around 8:10 a.m. near the intersection of Marshall Hall Road and Matthews Road. A caller told dispatchers a car “ran the light” and flipped twice before landing upright, with people in the area trying to help a passenger out of the vehicle.

Multiple callers later reported that the vehicle had hit a power pole, bringing down at least one line and causing wires to spark in trees near the parking lot of a Food Lion. Crews from SMECO were requested to the scene and arrived a short time later…
