Maryland reaches settlement with Cracker Barrel over alleged disability discrimination

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown and the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights (MCCR) announced Monday that Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. has agreed to a settlement resolving allegations that staff at the company’s Waldorf restaurant discriminated against a group of elementary school students with disabilities last year.

The case stems from a December 2024 visit by 11 students and teachers from two special education programs at Dr. James Craik Elementary School.
