The FBI announced the arrest of 30-year-old Brian Cole in Woodbridge, Va. He faces charges of allegedly transporting an explosive device in interstate commerce and attempting malicious destruction by explosive materials.
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the bureau is “pretty comfortable we have our guy” and defended its reliance on facts when questioned about his prior claims of a cover-up in the Jan. 6 pipe-bomb investigation.
Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel said no new tips led to the arrest.
