DUNKIRK, Md. — A Washington, D.C., man is facing theft and drug charges after deputies said he stole soap, lotion and laundry detergent from a Calvert County pharmacy before being found in possession of controlled substances while later in custody, according to charging documents.
Curtis Sequan Cannon, 33, was charged Dec. 6, 2025, with misdemeanor theft, possession of a controlled dangerous substance not cannabis, possession of CDS while confined, and possession of contraband in a place of confinement. All four charges carry probable cause determinations, according to court records.
The incident began around 12:44 p.m. when a manager at the CVS Pharmacy on Ward Road in Dunkirk reported that a man had repeatedly entered the store and stolen items. The manager told deputies she recognized the suspect from a previous theft investigation and saw him pushing a baby stroller as he entered. Surveillance footage reviewed by deputies shows Cannon entering and exiting the store and concealing merchandise in the stroller.
