Fair Haven Chain-Reaction Crash With Metro Bus Leaves Taxi Driver Dead, Several Injured: Police

Officers responded shortly after 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, to the 6300 block of Richmond Highway in Fair Haven to investigate a reported crash, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Preliminary findings show a Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority bus was stopped in the right lane of northbound Richmond Highway with a 2014 Toyota Sienna stopped behind it, police said.

A 2013 Toyota Camry taxicab traveling northbound then struck the Toyota Sienna, causing it to crash into the rear of the Metro bus, according to investigators…
