Alexandria menorah lighting brings light and unity after Sydney attack

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — As the Jewish community celebrated the second night of Hanukkah, they are also remembering the 15 people killed a day earlier in Sydney, Australia.

Monday night’s menorah lighting in Old Town, Alexandria, came with some extra security measures, including a required RSVP. But the people in attendance said they felt it was important to show up together to celebrate the holiday.
