Sales Floor Scheme: Two Women Charged In Felony Theft At Waldorf Mall

LA PLATA, Md. — Two Temple Hills women have been charged with felony theft in connection with a shoplifting incident at a Waldorf department store in which police say more than $1,500 worth of merchandise was stolen.

Kayleen Lisette Lazo, 18, and Marcelina Lazo Rosales, 36, are each charged with theft of property valued at $1,500 to under $25,000 following a Dec. 12, 2025, incident at the Macy’s store at St. Charles Towne Center.

Officers were called to the store shortly after 5 p.m. after loss prevention personnel reported a suspected shoplifting incident involving multiple individuals. Investigators said the suspects placed clothing and perfume items into a black baby stroller while inside the store, concealing the merchandise as they moved through the sales floor…
