ANNANDALE, Va. (7News) — A special piece of Christmas history has been kept inside an Annadale, Virginia since the 1980s.
Each December, the Epiphany of our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church displays a small relic of Saint Nicholas, the inspiration behind Santa Claus, to the public.
The bone fragment is revealed during the Feast of Saint Nicholas held on Dec. 6, a massive event for Byzantine Catholics that include a service and a meal. Children also take part in skits recreating acts of St. Nicholas from his life…
