Man hurt after stabbing in DC on W Street

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man was hurt after a stabbing in D.C. on Monday night, police said.

Around 11:35 p.m., officers responded to the report of a stabbing at a residence in the 1600 block of W Street, Southeast. When officers arrived, they found a man, conscious and breathing, with stab wounds.

The victim said the suspect entered the residence through the front door while he was in the bedroom in the back. After the suspect entered the residence, the suspect began assaulting, stabbing and slashing with a knife before fleeing.
