WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man has died after a multi-vehicle crash, D.C. police said on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the L and 16th streets intersection just before 4 p.m. for reports of several cars being involved in a “serious” crash.

MPD said that a pedestrian was found unconscious and not breathing. First responders tried all lifesaving measures, but the man died there.
Preliminarily, MPD believes that a car was driving southbound on 16th St. very fast and then hit the pedestrian in the crosswalk, and then hit four other cars.
One person in the striking car ran from the scene but was stopped by officers and arrested, according to MPD…
