WASHINGTON (7News) — 7News sat down one-on-one with U.S. Attorney for Washington D.C. Jeanine Pirro after she shared an alarming statistic: that strangulation is up 60%.
Other crimes, meanwhile, have plummeted.
“I think the best thing we can do is let victims know that they’re welcome here, that there’s no judgement here, that we’ll support the victim in whatever she needs to make her a survivor and that means get her into a shelter, to get her into some safe place, with some safe people to get her the help she needs, the financing she needs to move her children if that is what she needs or to make sure that he is held criminally responsible for what he’s done,” she said…
