Detectives with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Rockville man in connection with a regional series of burglaries that targeted newly constructed homes and resulted in the theft of circuit breakers valued at tens of thousands of dollars.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators have been working the case since August 29, 2025, after multiple reports of burglaries at homes in the final phase of construction across Charles County and surrounding jurisdictions. In each incident, circuit breakers were stolen from the properties, leaving builders with significant damage and delays.
Detectives say nearly 50 homes were hit during the spree, with an estimated total loss of about $50,000. As a result of the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 37-year-old Roger Geovanny Madrid-Banegas of Rockville.
