Anti-ICE protests continue nationwide as questions grow over MPD cooperation

WASHINGTON D.C., DC — Protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement continued across the country this weekend, including here in Washington, D.C., where demonstrators gathered outside ICE headquarters to call for accountability following the fatal shooting of a Minnesota woman by a federal agent.

The demonstrations come after the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good, who was killed Wednesday during an encounter with an ICE agent in Minnesota. Federal officials have said the agent acted in self-defense, but protesters dispute that claim and say the use of deadly force was unjustified.

“If they can kill one person in the street and then make excuses — say there’s justification when there isn’t, and we can see with our eyes and our ears there isn’t justification — then they can kill anyone,” one protester said…
