Grocery Outlet, a fast growing discount grocery chain known for deeply discounted name brand products, is expanding further in the DMV with its first Virginia store and appears to have Montgomery County, MD in its sights.
In a press release issued this week, Grocery Outlet Holding Corp. announced it will open a new store in Falls Church, Virginia on Feb. 12, 2026. The location will mark the company’s first store in Virginia and the beginning of what it says will be a series of openings across the state.
The California based retailer describes itself as an “extreme value” grocery chain, offering prices typically 40 percent to 70 percent lower than conventional supermarkets.
