WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Kathleen Borgueta was laid off last year while she was on maternity leave.
“I used to work at USAID. I’d spent almost 20 years in a career in maternal and child health, and I found myself, unfortunately, being terminated at the beginning of last year, right when I was postpartum,” she said.
