The Hilltop Tap Room, a bar and restaurant in Georgetown University’s Healey Family Student Center (HFSC), closed suddenly over Georgetown’s winter break, a university spokesperson confirmed to The Hoya Jan. 15.
Tap Room, which first opened in August 2023, was operated by Hilltop Tap Room, LLC, an independent company that leased the space from the university. The closure came about seven months after the company lost its liquor license in May 2025, revoking its legal ability to sell alcohol.
