Man accused of threatening to shoot neighbor before barricading himself in DC apartment

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 48-year-old was arrested after a barricade situation in D.C. and is accused of threatening his neighbor, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said.

Around 4:10 p.m. on Jan. 18, officers responded to the 100 block of Q Street for the report of an assault. The suspect was reportedly involved in a dispute with his neighbor that escalated. He then entered the victim’s apartment, assaulted them and threatened to shoot, police said.

After leaving the victim’s apartment, the suspect went back to his own apartment, refusing to speak with officers and barricading himself inside his apartment.
