WASHINGTON (7News) — Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officials have released new details and updated charges in Sunday’s shooting outside of Aqua nightclub in Northeast D.C.
Christopher Cherry, 28, was revealed to be the man who returned to the club after making a gun threat, and sped toward an MPD officer in his car, according to police.
Cherry, of no fixed address, was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Vehicle), Threat to Kidnap or Injure a Person, Felony Assault on a Police Officer, Reckless Driving and Leaving After Colliding.
