Early Morning Garage Fire Displaces Two In Waldorf

WALDORF, Md. — A garage fire early Wednesday morning damaged a two-story single-family home in Waldorf, prompting a large emergency response but resulting in no reported injuries.

The fire was reported at approximately 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at a residence in the 3500 block of Catskill Street. Smoke was initially seen coming from the garage, and occupants were confirmed to be out of the home as crews arrived.

Responders encountered smoke conditions throughout the structure, with fire later confirmed in the garage area. Command was established, and operations focused on containing the fire, ventilating the home, and checking for extension into walls, the basement, and the attic.
