ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — Many residents across Northern Virginia woke up snowed in after a winter storm blanketed the region with snow, sleet and ice.
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews have made significant progress clearing major interstates and primary roads, but it is taking longer to reach neighborhood streets.
VDOT crews are working overtime to clear main arteries first while neighborhood roads are still covered with snow and sleet.
