WASHINGTON (7News) — Washington, D.C. is suspending fines for people and businesses who have not cleared snow and ice from their sidewalks; however, the requirement to clear those walkways still stands.
According to D.C. law, property owners must remove snow and ice from sidewalks surrounding their properties within the first eight hours of daylight after a storm ends.
Normally, failure to do so can result in fines of $150 for commercial properties and $25 for residential properties…
