Residents in Northeast high rise left with no heat or hot water during DC winter storm

WASHINGTON (7News) — Renters at the Affinity 2M apartments in Northeast D.C. said they’ve had no heat or hot water since Friday, smack in the middle of one of D.C.’s largest snowstorms and coldest weeks.

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has already received and responded to nearly 100 tenant calls who need urgent help with heat and hot water. Many residents also reached out to 7News.

According to the Department of Buildings (DOB), D.C. requires owners to maintain at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit in all habitable rooms. That is not what was found inside every apartment…
