Victim identified in deadly Alexandria shooting, police seek community footage

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) — The Alexandria Police Department (APD) is asking for the public’s help in investigating a deadly Wednesday shooting that left a man dead and a boy hurt.

According to police, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 900 block of N. Patrick St.

There, 27-year-old Marquette Holmes and a boy were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital.

Holmes later died, with his cause of death being ruled as a homicide, and the boy was released with non-life-threatening injuries…
