Homeless nonprofit becomes crime scene after fatal stabbing in nation’s capital

A man died Thursday after being stabbed at a Georgetown nonprofit that offers food to the homeless. The Metropolitan Police Department has arrested a suspect in the attack.

Police officers responded to Miriam’s Kitchen in the 2400 block of Virginia Avenue NW at 4:09 p.m. and found the adult male victim unconscious, not breathing and dealing with a stab wound. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was ultimately pronounced dead, police said, according to Allison Papson of Washington’s WTTG-TV.

A suspect in the attack has been arrested, with the suspected knife in the stabbing seized, police told another D.C. station, WJLA-TV. Neither the victim nor the suspect has been named publicly by officials…
