WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Virginia State Police are investigating a crash on I-95 in the Woodbridge area on Friday morning that closed lanes and led to major delays.
Troopers were called to the northbound I-95 near Exit 160 around 6:30 a.m. in Prince William County for a report of a crash with injury. Once on scene, investigators learned that an Express Lane HLP truck was helping a driver in the right lane of the Express Lanes by providing traffic control and blocking the right lane. A box truck then rear-ended the HLP truck and struck another vehicle.
Lanes were closed to traffic for more than two hours during the crash investigation, bringing morning commuter to a traffic to a standstill. All lanes were back open to traffic by 8:45 a.m., according to VSP…
