Two teenage boys were arrested after a shooting near Union Station in Washington, D.C., on Friday afternoon last week that injured a 15-year-old. According to WJLA, Metropolitan Police Department officers responded around 4:12 p.m. to the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE, where they found the victim conscious and breathing with a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported by D.C. Fire and EMS to a local hospital for treatment, and the injuries were not considered life-threatening. FOX News reported that the suspects, a 17-year-old from Northeast D.C. and a 16-year-old from Southeast D.C., were charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Officers with the U.S. Capitol Police assisted at the scene and detained the two suspects shortly after the incident.
A firearm was later recovered near the location by an MPD K-9 officer, according to FOX 5 DC. Police have not released information about what led to the shooting or whether the victim and suspects knew each other…
