Fairfax County police ask public for help in 2021 deadly shooting of student

Fairfax County police are turning to the public to help solve the 2021 shooting death of a 19-year-old college student in the Alexandria section of the county.

Ronald Worthy Jr. had just finished his freshman year at Virginia State University. While he had previously lived in D.C., he was spending the summer with his grandmother at her home in the Beacon Hill apartments.

“Ronald was pursuing many things in his life in addition to his education,” said Det. Thomas Gadell with Fairfax County Police. “Ronald also had his own clothing line that was starting to be kind of up and coming.”…
