DC region sees record amount of days with snow on the ground

WASHINGTON (7News) — It’s been over two weeks since the first round of snowflakes fell around the DMV, amounting to widespread 6 to 10 inches of snow.

Since then, we spent nearly 10 days below freezing, locking in all of that snow and ice with little to no melting besides what happened to be in direct sunlight before refreezing at night.

We are now approaching record setting amount of days with measurable snow still on the ground.
