Weis Markets to Celebrate Grand Opening of Waldorf Store

WALDORF, MD – Weis Markets will celebrate the opening of its new Waldorf, MD, store with a media preview event and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The new 65,000-square-foot store, located in Fairway Village at 4535 Fairway Village Pl, is Weis Markets’ newest Maryland location and will open to the public on February 19, 2026.

Elected officials from Charles County will be in attendance, alongside local community members and Weis Markets executives, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Weis and Chief Operating Officer Bob Gleeson.

In celebration of the grand opening and to thank the community for the warm welcome, Weis Markets Charitable Foundation, Inc. will present $1,500 donations to Hospice of the Chesapeake, Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department, Last Chance Animal Rescue, LifeStyles of Maryland Foundation, and Thomas Stone High School Marching Band. Additionally, the Foundation will donate the store’s first Weis2Go order to LifeStyles of Maryland Foundation. Weis Markets Charitable Foundation is a philanthropic affiliate of Weis Markets.

The new 65,000-square-foot store is one of the company’s most state-of-the-art stores, including:

  • An expansive market-style produce department with a wide selection of organic produce;
  • Full-service meat and seafood departments;
  • Sushi prepared in-store daily;
  • A bakery offering fresh-baked breads, pastries, and custom cakes;
  • A floral department with fresh arrangements and seasonal selections;
  • A deli offering a wide selection of sliced meats and cheeses, along with a heat-and-serve meal section; a salad and soup bar with fresh, made-daily options;
  • Starbucks café offering a variety of hot and cold beverages, bakery items, mugs, and whole and ground beans;
  • Full-service drive-thru pharmacy; and
  • Six-pump Gas N’ Go fuel center where customers can redeem their Weis Rewards points.

The store will also feature energy-efficient LED lighting and CO2 refrigerated cases, which use significantly less harmful refrigerants than those in most supermarkets…
