WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Students at three schools in Prince William County walked out in protest of ICE last Friday, but 191 of them at one of those schools were suspended. That’s because students left school grounds, according to Woodbridge High School principal Heather Abney.
“While walkouts are a form of expression, students did not remain on school grounds and instead left campus, walking along Old Bridge Road,” Abney wrote in a letter to families.
All of the walkouts happened on Friday, Feb. 13. In addition to Woodbridge High, Gainesville Middle School and Forest Park High School also had similar events. Unlike at Woodbridge, students at Gainesville and Forest Park stayed on campus, their principals said in letters home to families…
