16-year-old faces firearm charges following arrest in Takoma Park

A 16-year-old was arrested and charged as an adult on multiple charges including possession of a loaded firearm after he was allegedly found Thursday with a “ghost gun” in Takoma Park, according to a Tuesday statement from Takoma Park police.

The teen, a Silver Spring resident, was charged with possession of a loaded handgun on a person, handgun on a person, possession of a firearm without a serial number, possession of a firearm as a minor and obstructing and hindering an investigation, the statement said.

He is being held in the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit in Rockville, according to the statement. Bethesda Today does not identify minors charged with crimes…
