Person struck, killed by Metro train at Brookland-CUA station

A person described as a “trespasser” was struck and killed by a Metro train at the Brookland-CUA station Friday afternoon.

The victim, who has not been named by Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority officials, was hit at about 1 p.m. The Metrorail Info social media account described the person only as a “trespasser.”

A Metro official told the Catholic University student newspaper The Tower that the victim “intentionally placed themselves in front of the train.”…
