Blanket-Clad Woman Wanted in Fenwick Street Stabbing

Metropolitan Police are searching for a woman seen carrying a brown blanket after an early-morning stabbing in Northeast Washington, and they are asking residents to keep their eyes open but their distance.

The stabbing was reported around 6:02 a.m. on March 9 in the 1900 block of Fenwick Street NE. Officers are looking for a Black woman with a medium complexion who was last seen with a brown blanket, and residents in the area are being urged to contact police if they spot anyone matching that description.

According to AlertDC, the police dispatch for the incident lists the event number as I20260097660 and reproduces the same suspect description circulated by officers on Sunday morning. Shore News Network reported that officers responded to the scene and issued a lookout for the woman with the blanket shortly after the call came in.
