WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The driver of a stolen vehicle died after losing control following a police chase in Washington, D.C., crashing into a tree near Inlet Bridge on Thursday, police said.
Around 9:30 p.m. on March 12, U.S. Park Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle near Hains Point in East Potomac Park. Instead of stopping, the driver continued to flee, and officers deployed a tire deflation device. The driver continued traveling fast before losing control.
