Flooding, fallen trees trigger road closures in Maryland, Virginia

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Flooding from severe weather across the region is forcing roads to close in Maryland and Virginia.

The three right lanes on I-270 southbound at Tuckerman Lane are shut down due to high water. Drivers are expected to look for alternate routes and expect delays.

Cars and semi-trucks are also driving through major flooding on I-495 at the American Legion Bridge.

Meanwhile in Virginia, parts of Bellview Road in McLean are impassable as water covers the street.
