Hawkley Brewing
A new brewery is opening in Herndon on March 24 in the space formerly occupied by Juicy Brewing Co. On grand opening weekend there will be 10 beers on tap, five canned beers for to-go sales, plus merch and giveaways. 257 Sunset Park Dr., Herndon
Ovoka Farm Winery
This cattle farm in Paris, Virginia, is expanding its operations with a new winery concept. Ovoka Farm Winery will officially open the weekend of Saturday, May 9, and will be open Saturdays by reservation only and Sundays for walk-ins. 750 Gap Run Rd., Paris
Del Ray Dive
The Del Ray Pop-Up Bar, which runs seasonal concepts such as Nightmare on the Avenue, will open a new concept at the end of March, ALXNow reported. This iteration will be called Del Ray Dive and will feature nostalgic memorabilia and low-cost drinks like what you might find in a classic neighborhood dive bar. 2312 Mt. Vernon Ave., Alexandria
Closings and Ownership Changes
Vino Bistro
Vino Bistro restaurant and wine bar in Leesburg is under new ownership and will become a Mediterranean restaurant called Falcon & Fig, InsideNoVA reported. The new owners will continue to operate as Vino Bistro until they’re ready to rebrand. 1605 Village Market Blvd. NE, Ste. 100, Leesburg
MacMillan Spirit House
MacMillan Spirit House, part of the same restaurant group that runs the MacMillan Whisky Room in Mosaic, has closed, ALXNow reported. It was open for nearly two years but was reportedly involved in a legal battle with the landlord over rent. 500 Montgomery St., Alexandria
Rooftop Recess
