Road Rage Resistance: Waldorf Driver Fights Arrest After Traffic Stop

WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf man is facing charges after allegedly resisting arrest during a traffic stop in Charles County that led to signs of impairment and a physical struggle with officers, according to court documents.

Devin Thomas Smith, 44, of Waldorf, was charged with resisting arrest following an incident on March 15, 2026.

According to the statement of probable cause, an officer observed Smith driving erratically along St. Charles Parkway, weaving between lanes and disrupting the normal flow of traffic.
