But that’s where the lawyer and mayoral hopeful found himself, answering for his son’s alleged possession of an firearm that police say he is not legally allowed to carry in the District, as well as a “double ended black staff sword.”
Vincent Orange Jr., 42, was stopped by D.C. police on Georgia Avenue NW on Feb. 28, according to a police affidavit filed in court, after officers ran his Virginia license plate and found that “there was no registration file in Virginia and all states.”
Asked by the officers about his vehicle registration, Defendant Orange said, “his vehicle was repossessed and he is on a payment plan and cannot register his vehicle.”…
