Shots Fired, Then Freed: Waldorf Man Released Days After Shooting Charges

WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf man accused of firing multiple rounds at a vehicle during a late-night shooting in February has been released from custody just days after his arrest, according to court records.

Casey Maleen Holt, 33, of Waldorf, is charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses stemming from the February 28, 2026 incident, including two counts of first-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, and additional handgun and assault-related charges.
