The City of Takoma Park announced it has been awarded three grants from the Maryland Energy Administration totaling nearly $500,000, funding efforts aimed at improving energy efficiency in multifamily housing and municipal buildings.
The largest award, a $400,000 Residential Energy Equity Grant, will support electrification upgrades for Phase II grantees in the City’s Multifamily Building Improvement Grant program. The MFBIG program is currently accepting Phase II applications through Thursday, April 30.
