DC man sentenced to 23 years in prison for murder, possession of cocaine

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) – Officials said a D.C. man was sentenced to 23 years in prison for shooting and killing a person and possessing cocaine.

Quateze Moore, of Northwest, D.C., shot and killed Martinez Robinson around 7 p.m. in Northwest D.C. on Aug. 23, 2023, according to DC News Now’s previous reporting.

Moore and Robinson were at 14th and Girard Street Park around 7 p.m. when Moore shot Robinson as he ran out of the park. Moore shot him three times, and he died at the scene. Moore also shot and killed Robinson’s dog.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) found a firearm and a plastic bag that contained cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and oxycodone, after performing chemical testing, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of D.C. (USAO)…
