Gunfire damages car on Northwest DC street

WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating after shots were fired near 14th and Fairmont Northwest late Tuesday night. Investigators say no one was hurt in the shooting, but at least one car in the neighborhood was struck by gunfire.

Officers were called to the intersection, not far from the Fairmont Apartments, for the report of a shooting around 11:35 p.m. When officers arrived, they did not find anyone hurt, but one car parked on the street was seen to have several bullet holes along with a shattered window.
