PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A Maryland man was slammed with over 60 charges after police said he carried out a violent crime spree across northern Prince George’s County that forced multiple schools to lock down and left two people hospitalized on Friday.
Larry James Simpson, 68, of Glen Burnie, is facing 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder, 16 counts of attempted second-degree murder, and related charges in connection with multiple shootings and carjackings that occurred on May 15.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD), the incidents began around 2:30 p.m. when officers received a call about a man pointing a long gun out of a car window in the 5100 block of Pierce Avenue in College Park.
Witnesses told police the man fired several shots. No one was hurt at that scene…
