‘Jane Doe’ remains found in a Pennsylvania field in ’92 identified

DREIBELBIS, Pa. (WHTM) — More than three decades ago, a Pennsylvania farmer found a human skull in his field. Today, almost 34 years to the day, authorities know who it belongs to.

The Berks County Coroner’s Office said the skull was found by a farmer working a field off Christman Road in Windsor Township, near Lenhartsville, on June 3, 1992.

Authorities were called and found a shallow grave and partial skeletal remains. Investigators at the time believed the remains had been buried for at least a year at that point. They also believed the remains belonged to a white woman between 25 and 40 years old who was about 5’3″ tall…
