Hiker with broken leg rescued after lengthy operation at Hunterdon County park

WEST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A hiker with a broken leg was rescued Saturday afternoon from a wooded trail at Washington Overlook Park following a lengthy operation involving the West Amwell Fire Company and several mutual aid agencies.

Emergency crews were dispatched at 1:16 p.m. for a report of a person injured in a fall along a park trail. Rescue operations were initiated upon arrival.
