NORRISTOWN — A Norristown man who was granted a new trial by a federal judge on charges he fatally stabbed his mother in 2005 will face a new jury in Montgomery County Court on murder charges in December as the criminal proceedings against him begin anew.
The retrial for Derek Wayne Jackson, now 39, is tentatively slated to begin Dec. 14, 2026. County Judge Wendy G. Rothstein set the trial date after conferring with prosecutors and defense lawyers.
