Nazareth, PA—To mark the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, the Moravian Historical Society, the Nazareth Economic Development Commission, and the County of Northampton Department of Community and Economic Development are hosting a free community festival on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This community celebration will feature a patriotic program, living history demonstrations, the Nazareth Farmers Market, and live music on the 3-acre historic site where Nazareth started in 1740.
The day kicks off with Nazareth’s Annual Kazoo Parade, a beloved tradition where everyone is invited to join in the fun. Parade participants gather at the Nazareth Area High School on Center Street at 8:00 a.m. for some live music. The parade steps off at 9:00 a.m. and marchers will play patriotic songs as they make their way to the Whitefield House. This year, in honor of America’s 250th birthday, the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps will lead the parade. The Brandywine Colonials are dedicated to preserving America’s patriotic musical heritage through educational programs and performances.
