Silverdale firefighters credit coordinated response from multiple agencies after devastating blast

A day after a house explosion destroyed a Hilltown Township 1930s farmhome, the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company is crediting a coordinated multi-agency response for helping prevent a tragedy from becoming even worse.

The explosion occurred Monday morning at 130 Highview Road, where multiple 911 callers reported a loud blast followed by a structure fire.
