Montgomery County doctor to pay $100K to settle controlled substance allegations

POTTSTOWN, Pa. — A Montgomery County physician has agreed to pay a financial penalty following a federal investigation into his medical practice’s handling of prescription drugs.

United States Attorney David Metcalf announced that Xiang Yuan, M.D., will pay $100,000 to resolve allegations that he violated the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), according to the attorney’s office.
