Central NJ Restaurants Shine in Wine Spectator’s 2026 Awards

Wine Spectator picked 19 eateries across Middlesex, Somerset, Union, Hunterdon, and Mercer counties as winners of the 2026 Restaurant Awards. The Pluckemin Inn in Bedminster grabbed Grand Prize status — the top honor you can get.

According to My Central Jersey.com, this year’s program spotlights 4,012 dining destinations worldwide that excel at wine service. Winners fall into three tiers. The Award of Excellence went to 2,083 spots. Best of Award of Excellence landed with 1,830. Just 99 claimed Grand Award status.

Four places snagged Best of Award of Excellence recognition. Cree Wine Company of Union Township made it. So did The Frog and The Peach in New Brunswick and La Griglia in Kenilworth…
